Raw tobacco forms the basis for various product categories in the tobacco industry – with high demands on selection, quality assurance and processing. At InterSupply, trade visitors have access to suppliers of different types of tobacco, leaf qualities and regions of origin, which are used worldwide in further processing.
The trade fair highlights the factors that determine raw tobacco quality: growing regions, climatic conditions and harvesting methods. Equally relevant are drying and fermentation processes, which shape the physical and sensory properties of raw tobacco. Discussions with suppliers and processors enable these factors to be precisely classified, also with regard to processing, blending and the end product.
Personal exchanges with specialised suppliers and industry experts also help tobacco producers, importers and processors to compare quality requirements, check the feasibility of delivery models and base procurement decisions on a sound foundation.
