InterTabac, NUBIZ and InterSupply: premieres, trends and new perspectives for the industry
International exhibitor line-up showcases what will shape future markets and business models
Three trade shows, ten halls and an industry in transition: in just a few days, Dortmund will once again become the international meeting place for the tobacco and nicotine industry. From 15 to 17 September, around 750 exhibitors from 64 countries will present their latest products, innovations and solutions as part of InterTabac, NUBIZ and InterSupply. Established market leaders and promising newcomers will meet trade visitors from retail, industry and distribution. Numerous companies will use the three days to showcase new products for the first time and set important impulses for the future.
Dortmund, 08 September 2026 – The international spectrum ranges from exhibitors from across Germany and numerous European countries – including Italy, France, Poland, the Czech Republic, the Benelux countries, Sweden and Spain – to companies from the United Kingdom, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, the Dominican Republic, India and China. More than 80 per cent of the exhibiting companies come from outside Germany. Together, the three trade shows cover the entire breadth of the industry: from conventional tobacco products and novel products to accessories and solutions for the entire manufacturing process.
For trade visitors, this creates an opportunity to meet key market players in one place, discover and test new products at an early stage, and identify the topics that will shape their business over the coming months. At the same time, personal and interdisciplinary exchange is becoming increasingly important: discussions about regulation and taxation, changing consumer habits and new product categories have a direct impact on markets and business models.
“Especially in dynamic times, the industry needs places where first-hand information is available, different perspectives come together and concrete solutions can be discussed. This is all the more important in view of the current political debates on the taxation and regulation of tobacco and related products at both national and international level. InterTabac, NUBIZ and InterSupply bring together the key market players and topics in one location. In doing so, they provide orientation, create new business contacts and enable the personal exchange that an internationally connected industry needs in order to evolve. Both trade visitors and exhibitors greatly appreciate this,” says Sabine Loos, Managing Director of Westfalenhallen Unternehmensgruppe which owns and operates the Messe Dortmund venue.
The industry demonstrates its innovative strength
At the same time, these factors make the three trade shows the place where manufacturers demonstrate the industry’s innovative strength. In the exhibition halls, numerous companies will showcase their latest products and technologies for the first time, giving trade visitors the opportunity to test and assess them for themselves.
Kopp Tobaccos, for example, will bring what it describes as a new pipe tobacco family to InterTabac. Its name is “Woodland”, with the range interpreting different wood notes. Vauen will present “Skyline Roma”, a limited-edition collection restricted to 300 pieces, whose pewter ring features the silhouette of Rome. Valentino Siesto will showcase the next edition of its Black Series as well as its own Velero brand. Joh. Wilh. von Eicken, meanwhile, will introduce “Weekend Lab”, a new brand initially intended for selected international markets. The product is based on three coordinated flavor layers: a flavored tobacco blend, a crushable flavor capsule in the filter and flavored tipping paper. BIC will aim to impress InterTabac trade visitors with, among other things, a lighter collection featuring motifs by Keith Haring. S.T. Dupont will celebrate 85 years of lighter craftsmanship with a Phoenix anniversary collection and strictly limited collector’s items.
At NUBIZ, Philip Morris is focusing on greater flexibility with “Veev One Plus”. The device’s cap contains space for a second pod. This allows users to carry a spare or switch between two flavors without having to look for a separate container in their bag. Innokin is also presenting a particularly consistent reusable concept. With the “Trine Pod System”, not only the pod but also the battery can be removed and replaced. AIRSCREAM, meanwhile, will present its new range of semi-gel nicotine pouches, M13 Cadence, for the first time. Among other features, the products are designed to release nicotine gradually.
Cigar Culture Summit: insights to kick off the trade show
Before the trade shows open in the halls, the Cigar Culture Summit will place the international cigar industry in the spotlight. Following its successful premiere in 2025, the format will take place for the second time on Monday, 14 September. Manufacturers, distributors, specialist retailers, media representatives and industry strategists will have the opportunity to address key developments on the day before the trade shows and begin the three days with a valuable knowledge advantage.
The need for this exchange is considerable: cigar culture combines traditional craftsmanship and a strong awareness of quality with a market that is constantly changing. Regulatory conditions, global supply chains and new consumer habits raise questions that are best assessed in depth through international dialogue. With three high-caliber thematic streams, the Summit provides a focused framework for this purpose.
The Main Stage will focus on growth markets and strategies for entering international markets. The conference room “London/Bruges” will explore the connection between quality leadership, brand development and technological progress. Sessions will cover topics including tobacco cultivation and seed breeding, fermentation and storage, the selection of suitable distribution channels, and the relationship between production growth and brand exclusivity. The third stream, held in German in the “Bergen” conference room, is aimed specifically at representatives of the cigar and pipe retail trade from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. From 7.30 p.m., the exclusive Cigar Reception will provide an opportunity to continue discussions, expand international contacts and get into the spirit of the trade shows together.
InterTabac: strong brands, new products and living cigar culture
Following this focused professional opening, attention will turn to the three trade shows and their respective areas of focus from Tuesday onwards. In Halls 4 to 8, international exhibitors will showcase the broad range of products represented at InterTabac.
In the conventional tobacco products segment, leading companies including Landewyck, Joh. Wilh. von Eicken, Philip Morris International (PMI), Karelia, KTNG, Continental Tobacco Germany, CAGS Tobacco and Lex Tobacco will be represented. The wide range of smoking accessories extends from lighters and ashtrays to rolling aids and filters. Corresponding products will be presented by companies including BIC, Gizeh, OCB, Zippo, AKRA Kotschenreuther, Hermann Hauser and Moosmayer. High-quality pipes will be presented by companies including VAUEN and Chacom.
Cigars have traditionally formed one of the core areas of InterTabac. This year, more than 170 exhibitors will be concentrated primarily in Halls 4 and 7. Trade visitors will meet companies including Joya de Nicaragua together with Quesada, E.P. Carrillo, La Flor Dominicana, Villiger Söhne, August Schuster, GRE Trade with Drew Estate, Ferio Tego and Arturo Fuente.
Promising brands such as Dynasty Cigars together with Victor Calvo Cigars, Rocky Patel, Matilde Cigars, Casa DR together with SansPareil, Blackbird Cigar and Don Emmanuel Cigars will also be exhibiting for the first time. LA FLOR DE ZAIDA, a US manufacturer of high-quality cigars, is bringing a prominent aficionado to the trade show as well: on the first day of the event, Hollywood star Ralf Moeller will visit the company’s stand in Hall 4, stand A22, between noon and 3 p.m. Football fans will be particularly excited by the presence of Don Fabio Cigars (stand 8.E08): entrepreneur and football manager Fabio Cordella is bringing several of his former colleagues to the trade show. Among them, Diego Lugano, Sébastien “Seba” Frey and Amauri will sample the exclusive cigars, which are made with tobacco fermented in Italian barrique wine barrels.
The manufacturers’ presentations will be complemented by practical formats that offer particular benefits for specialist retailers. On Tuesday and Wednesday, master blender Claudio Sgroi will provide an in-depth insight into the art of cigar blending. The popular “Blending Experience” is designed as an exclusive format for retailers.
The workshop “Decoding Cigars – by ICSI” is another new feature and will be offered on all three days of the trade show. Anthony Azar, founder of the International Cigar Sommelier Institute (ICSI), will present a structured approach to understanding, selecting and making optimal use of cigars.
“The Modern Cigar Consumer Series” will also examine the market from a contemporary perspective. In a new three-part masterclass series, certified cigar sommelier Mechelle Merkerson will explore topics including the influence of digital platforms and the growing importance of women as consumers, business leaders and contributors to the industry’s growth. In the Crossover Lounge at the North Entrance, stand NE.D02, Cigar & Spirits Consultant Jens Tausch will guide trade visitors through the complex flavor profiles of selected spirits and specially matched cigars.
NUBIZ: innovative products and international market impulses
NUBIZ will primarily occupy the Westfalenhalle, Halls 1, 1B and 2, parts of Hall 3 and the passage leading to Hall 3. Around 300 exhibitors will showcase current products and developments in the fields of vaping and pouches as well as other novel nicotine products. Participating companies include Fox Electronics FZ LLC, Flerbar, HQD, Vaporesso, TRULO, Fumot, AIRSCREAM, Intrade Concepts and InnoCigs. Oral products such as pouches and snus will be presented by companies including SnusGlobe, Camo Snus, Premium Pouch Finland, Nicopods ehf (ICE) and ALP Supply.
Focused side events will address key developments in these product segments. The third PouchXchange will kick off the program on the first day of the trade show. Organized in cooperation with the Global Institute for Novel Nicotine (GINN) and supported by industry sponsors, the event will focus on global market trends, regulatory developments and current challenges relating to nicotine pouches and snus. Participants will receive practical insights for their day-to-day business and an exclusive opportunity to expand their international networks in a targeted way.
On the second day of the trade show, the InterTabac World Alternative Awards will follow. First held in 2024, the awards recognize pioneering innovations in the reduced-risk tobacco and nicotine segment. Manufacturers, brand managers, distributors and decision-makers will gain a concise overview of products and developments that could shape the market in the future. Ten awards will be presented in four categories: “Pouch Products”, “Vape & Vapor Solutions”, “Next Generation & Reduced Risk Products” and “Brand & Market Impact”.
InterSupply: international solutions for production and processing
Around 160 exhibitors from 38 countries will once again make InterSupply in Hall 3 an international meeting place for the production and supply industry. Almost 90 per cent of the companies are travelling from outside Germany. Established exhibitors include Universal Leaf Tobacco, Körber Technologies, Focke & Co., G.D. SpA and Hertz & Selck. At the same time, a number of newcomers will expand the range on offer, including Eckel & Sohn, Atlantic Chemicals Trading, Sachee Fragrances & Chemicals, Bamet, Honeywell and SYMETAL ALUMINIUM FOIL INDUSTRY.
Inspiration for the point of sale
For specialist retailers, the range of products and services at the trade show offers inspiration beyond the product assortments themselves. In the foyer at the North Entrance, visitors will find innovative solutions for the point of sale – from displays and shopfitting to shelving, security and merchandise management systems, as well as press products and spirits. In Dortmund, visitors can therefore discover not only new products but also concrete ideas for product presentation, sales areas and day-to-day business. Exhibitors include providers such as Ingenieurbüro Hoffmann, Familybro, 7concepts, HAROMEX and SCHAPFL GmbH.
Conference program continues to gain importance
Discover products, assess market developments, gain knowledge for your own business and expand international contacts: InterTabac, NUBIZ and InterSupply are far more than product showcases. With their high-caliber conference program, the Dortmund trade show trio becomes a central meeting place for everyone who wants to understand the industry’s current transformation, take away new impulses for their business and expand their network in a targeted way. Key topics include European regulation, tax developments and questions relating to science, consumer realities and innovation. CB Expo creates additional points of connection
Alongside InterTabac, NUBIZ and InterSupply, the Cannabis Business Expo and Conference – CB Expo – will also return to Dortmund for the fourth time. It provides the European cannabis industry with a platform for business development, knowledge transfer and networking. In 2026, it will be integrated even more closely into the overall concept of the three trade shows. Exhibitors from the cannabis industry will present their products and services, with a particular focus in Halls 6 and 8, at the heart of the international trade show activity. This will allow the growing points of connection between cannabis, tobacco, next-generation products and accessories to be used in a targeted way. The CB Conference will also move closer to the conference program of the three trade shows. While deep-dive sessions in the “Bruges” conference room will address cannabis-related topics, the Main Stage at the North Entrance will offer cross-industry topics and insights. Tickets for CB Expo are also valid for InterTabac, NUBIZ and InterSupply – and vice versa.
